There are two stables for park users’ horses with tie stalls for up to 30 horses each.
Ample horse trailer parking areas are convenient to the stables.

Continue on Lake Samish Road northwest for 0.5 mile to Barrel Springs Road on the left. A Recreation Pass is necessary for each vehicle parked at trailheads where required. Turn left onto NF Road 12 and continue for another 13.5 miles. NF Road 12 is Gravel one-lane Baker Lake Road intersection on State Route 20 looks like this (Baker Lake Road to the left) coming from the west and like this (Baker Lake Road to the right) coming from the east.Turn left and continue to the second right, Barrel Springs Lane and continue another another 0.5 mile to the Lower Trail Head.
