George Bud Frazer Baker, 96, died Thursday, April 24, 2008, in Amistad Nursing Home, in Uvalde. He was born July 13, 1924, in Park Springs, Tx., graduated from Abilene Christian College, served in the U. Navy on the USS Stephen 5 Potter for four years, was a principal at East Pecos Junior High for 10 years and taught at Austin Elementary for over 20 years.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., at East Hill Cemetery in Ft. Survivors include his wife, Sue Richmond of Pecos; one son, Tommy Richmond of Big Spring; one daughter, Karen Richmond Baxter of Prosper; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Sandra Avila, 48, of Lubbock, died Saturday, March 29, 2008.
Sara Reid Massey passed away from metastatic breast cancer on her seventy-fifth birthday, August 17, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Reid (“Todd”) and April Massey, in Comfort, Texas.
Sara was born to Al Moses Reid and Stella Deitz Reid in Aberdeen, South Dakota, on August 17, 1938, and grew up on their farm in Ohio.
Mass was held at 2 p.m., Monday, March 24, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Saragosa, with Father Miguel Angel Sanchez officiating. She was born June 27, 1941, in Beeville, was a lifetime Saragosa resident, a housewife and a Catholic.
